About the role

  • Business Development Manager developing vendor accounts to position Plenti as a market leader in renewable energy finance. Strengthening relationships and driving business growth in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, onboard, and activate new renewable vendors within your portfolio
  • Strengthen vendor relationships and implement growth strategies to position Plenti as Australia’s market leader in renewable energy finance
  • Own sales performance for your state/territory with a focus on deal flow, portfolio utilisation, and origination growth
  • Stay ahead of competitor activity, market trends, and policy changes, providing valuable feedback to enhance Plenti’s offerings
  • Collaborate closely with relationship managers to optimise vendor engagement, retention, and performance
  • Execute disciplined sales activities, including vendor engagement, account reviews, and growth plan implementation
  • Clearly articulate Plenti’s competitive advantages and drive impactful sales strategies

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in a high-paced sales environment
  • Proven success in business development, growing and managing a portfolio of accounts
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Skilled at anticipating and resolving objections
  • Passionate and energetic representative of Plenti’s brand
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Experience in point-of-sale finance is a plus, but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of lending products and credit risk underwriting
  • A “hunting” mindset with the ability to self-start and drive leads independently
  • Ability to grasp issues and find appropriate solutions to objections, often pre-emptively
  • A genuine willingness and desire to represent Plenti with passion and energy
  • Exceptional time management and self-organisation skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with people at all levels
