Construction Manager overseeing all on-site construction activities including budgeting and scheduling. Collaborating with customers and subcontractors to ensure project compliance and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Own all field-related project components including: scope implementation, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control following all applicable state/federal laws, NFPA, NEC and customer requirements
Review the project in depth to schedule deliverables and estimate cost
Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and change order forms
Oversee and direct subcontractors on construction projects from implementation to completion
Ensure compliance with electrical and safety regulations
Manage material and track inventory
Communicate regularly with leadership to provide required status updates
Utilize Construction Services core procedures for daily and weekly reporting while maintaining project as-builts
Prepare internal and external reports for each project
Anticipate potential problems by analyzing and mitigating risks
Ensure quality construction standard and the use of proper construction techniques
Requirements
Associates’ degree in Construction Management or related majors
One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in construction, electrical, planning, design, relationship management
Advanced knowledge of Construction Management processes, means and methods
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules/regulations, and quality standards
Familiarity with construction management software packages
Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
Competent in conflict and crisis management
Leadership and human resources management skills
Excellent time and project management skills
Experience with Microsoft programs including Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
PMP, OSHA 30, EM-385 1-1, QCM and First Aid CPR Certifications are a plus.
