About the role

  • Senior HR Manager at oneZero Financial Systems leading HR functions for Australian operations. Overseeing recruitment, payroll, employee engagement, and compliance with a focus on technology and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability across all HR functions
  • Mentor and lead HR staff
  • Independently manage and execute all HR processes and practices, including benefits administration, recruitment and staffing, performance management, payroll administration, employment law compliance, training and development, workplace health and safety
  • Manage key HR systems, including Payroll and recruitment systems
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop role-specific recruitment strategies
  • Draft compelling job advertisements and identify effective sourcing channels
  • Proactively source candidates and manage direct recruitment efforts
  • Oversee interviews, candidate selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding
  • Manage external recruitment agencies when required
  • Contribute to the end-of-year performance review and calibration processes
  • Manage compensation reviews, title changes, and communications
  • Maintain job architecture, role grading, and market compensation benchmarks
  • Supervise and develop HR staff and office support personnel
  • Support leaders with conflict resolution and performance planning
  • Oversee onboarding, employee records, and compliance documentation
  • Partner with building management and service providers to maintain a safe, positive work environment
  • Coordinate employee engagement, morale, and team events

Requirements

  • Relevant 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 8–10 years of HR experience, including 5+ years in a demonstrated leadership role within Australia
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices
  • Proven experience with payroll systems and HR management platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive and difficult conversations
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and mentor others
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Interest in technology or financial services is a plus
