Responsibilities
Operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability across all HR functions
Mentor and lead HR staff
Independently manage and execute all HR processes and practices
Manage key HR systems, including Payroll
Partner with hiring managers to develop role-specific recruitment strategies
Proactively source candidates and manage direct recruitment efforts
Oversee interviews, candidate selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding
Contribute to the end-of-year performance review and calibration processes
Supervise and develop HR staff and office support personnel
Oversee onboarding, employee records, and compliance documentation
Actively contribute to a culture of high performance, collaboration, and employee well-being
Requirements
Relevant 4-year degree or equivalent experience
8–10 years of HR experience, including 5+ years in a demonstrated leadership role within Australia
Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices
Proven experience with payroll systems and HR management platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive and difficult conversations
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and mentor others
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Interest in technology or financial services is a plus
