Enterprise Business Development Manager managing sales with large Enterprise Customers for Octopus Electric Vehicles. Driving acquisition for the Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme and improving Customer Experience.
Responsibilities
Take full ownership of driving new business, building and managing strategic relationships with Enterprise customers, positioning Octopus as the right partner for salary sacrifice EV schemes
Coordinate with marketing, operations, and implementation teams to ensure a seamless onboarding and rollout process
Lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial engagement to signed agreements and successful program implementation
Understand and navigate enterprise procurement, HR, finance, and legal processes to drive a successful outcome
Partner with senior leaders (often C-Level) to tailor a compelling EV benefit proposition aligned to their business goals (e.g. net-zero, employee engagement, cost efficiency)
Establish and develop your sales pipeline with customers - nurturing your relationships from lead through to delivery, whilst meeting (and ideally exceeding) targets set
Plan, target, and secure the acquisition of new customers
Manage your pipeline, recording progress in our CRM system and keeping things up to date
Record customer satisfaction and best practice measures
Support customer launch events to spread the word of electric vehicles, our role in creating a sustainable future, and how we can help
Provide excellent customer service through the sales process
Share best practice and insights to help shape our enterprise go-to-market approach - we’re growing rapidly and we have lots to learn along the way
Work with the wider teams to develop and deliver propositions and materials for the B2B market and specifically Enterprise Customers
Strategically build your pipeline working with the wider team to create strong relationships both internally and externally
Requirements
Proven track record of winning and expanding relationships with enterprise customers selling business value generating solutions/services
Experience managing complex six or seven-figure deal sizes through complex sales cycles
Ability to influence and negotiate with senior customer stakeholders (C-Level, Directors, HR, Finance and ESG)
Strong commercial acumen - able to balance customer needs with Octopus’ strategic growth and revenue goals
10+ years in customer facing sales roles delivering significant new business
Deliver an excellent customer experience, coupled with a ruthless focus on the customer with a genuine passion for going above and beyond for customers
Passion for creating a sustainable future through decarbonisation via electric vehicles and renewable energy
Previous sales experience within a B2B consultative environment is a must, alongside a track record in exceeding targets in your previous roles
Knowledge of employee benefits and/or vehicle leasing would be and advantage but isn’t a pre-requisite
Excellent listening and communication skills, alongside an ability to deliver exciting and engaging presentations to executive audiences
Experience using Google Drive, MS Office, CRM systems and other associated IT based technologies
A true completer, finisher mentality
An understanding of the sales cycle and customers’ buying process, whilst being able to envisage the why and what behind each section of the business and how that creates the entire vision
A start up / entrepreneurial mind-set being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business
