About the role

  • Account Executive responsible for retaining and servicing existing customers at NBT Bank. Focuses on insurance solutions and risk management meet customer needs and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Account Executive's are primarily responsible for retaining and servicing the needs of existing customers.
  • Focus on their customer's risk profile to make recommendations for both insurance products and risk management solutions.
  • Develop and execute individual business plans to meet retention and development goals.
  • Achieve agency specified retention goals and targets through effective client management.
  • Present and bind applicable insurance solutions for existing and new customers that effectively meets their risk profiles and insurance needs.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Commitment to continuing education
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Good judgement, business acumen, and sound analytic skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft office products, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook and agency management system.
  • Experience in delivering insurance solutions involving coverage and risk management options to assigned customer base.
  • Strong planning, organizational, problem solving and time management skills with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Self-directed and able to accomplish work with limited supervision and general work direction.
