Responsibilities
Independently evaluates and underwrites loan applications in accordance with the bank's loan policies, procedures, and generally accepted prudent lending practices.
Interview applicants for new loans and discuss available loan products, terms, and requirements to ensure appropriate product selection.
Structure loan packages based on clients’ needs, financial condition, and risk profile while aligning with bank lending standards.
Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessments, and present findings, recommendations, and risk considerations to management.
Site visitations to new and existing borrowers.
Review loan agreements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies.
Monitor and follow up on tickler items to ensure timely completion of outstanding requirements.
Provide high-quality service to existing and prospective clients, including obtaining required documentation to support lending activities and other bank departments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum five years of experience in lending required.
Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental members, and external representatives.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of lending operations and client needs.
Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, and e-mail.
