Customer Service Representative providing information about products and services and processing orders for clients. Engage with customers via phone, fax, or email in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Confer with customers by telephone, fax or email to provide information about products and services, shipping dates or delays and also to take, enter or update orders
Supports requests from sales team, as communicated via CRM, email to phone for customers
Use tools within MDG and SAP to fully set up business partners for use within order system
Issue quotes on available products and process PO’s once received.
Determine and communicate the appropriate components of product pricing as allowed.
Compute price, discount and gather other data related to final invoice
Confers with planning, quality control or logistics to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments
Receives customer material complaints, records basic complaint information and transmits it to the Quality Assurance for investigation
Review and audit orders daily to verify information as requested by customer
Requirements
A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in a customer service or quality control role is required.
Customer service experience supporting a manufacturing environment is preferred.
A Bachelors Degree in a business or technical discipline is preferred.
The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner are required.
Organizational skills, teamwork skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to solve problems are required.
Computer proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel is required.
Knowledge of ISO standards is helpful.
