Senior HR Business Partner shaping HR strategies for Merz Aesthetics in Germany and the US. Acting as a trusted advisor and overseeing HR processes to drive business success.
Responsibilities
You act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, guiding them through all HR-related matters.
You collaborate with managers in the US and in Germany to design and implement HR strategies that drive business success.
You oversee and manage all HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, and contractual changes.
You manage yearly HR cycle activities such as Talent Review, Succession Planning, Merit Increase, Target Setting, and Appraisal.
You work with the business and HR to design effective organizational structures and job roles, supporting change initiatives that ensure smooth transitions and high employee engagement.
You support leaders in driving performance and talent development by identifying growth opportunities, fostering continuous learning, and facilitating annual talent reviews to strengthen leadership and technical capabilities.
You coach, develop, and support leadership to grow their capabilities.
You proactively address employee concerns and conflicts in a timely and confidential manner, fostering a positive and trustful work environment.
You identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and partner with management to implement innovative and lasting solutions.
You ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, while guiding leaders through conflict resolution and grievance processes.
You cooperate trustfully with the Works Council, including negotiation and coordination of co-determination topics.
You collaborate closely with the HR EMEA team and US-based global HR colleagues to align on regional and global HR projects and initiatives, bridging the gap between US-driven strategies and EMEA-specific needs.
Requirements
You have 5+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner or generalist HR role, preferably in a regional or international setting.
You bring proven expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, change management, and HR operations, ensuring smooth transitions and strong team dynamics.
You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
You have experience in HR project management and regional HR initiatives.
You have in-depth understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and best practices.
You apply sound judgment and a proactive mindset to solve complex challenges with clarity and confidence.
You demonstrate a strong work ethic, effective prioritization, and a consistent commitment to excellence in dynamic environments.
You have cross-cultural sensitivity and adaptability in a multinational context.
You have strong facilitation skills for training and HR initiatives.
You have experience working in a global matrix organization and bridging regional and global strategies.
You are business fluent in English and German.
You have a University Degree in Business Administration, HR, Psychology, Labour Law, or a related field.
