About the role

  • Director of Sales at Medisca, driving national revenue growth and managing the U.S. Sales Team. Lead and mentor diverse team, establish sales strategy, and optimize sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the U.S. sales team
  • Create and upload Medisca Certificates of Analysis
  • Lead, train, coach, mentor and motivate a diverse team to meet individual and collective sales targets across the region
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Set clear sales targets and ensure consistent communication within the team to align with company objectives
  • Provide and review annual forecasts for assigned territories and the overall market
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy aligned with company goals and opportunities to grow sales
  • Identify training and development needs for the national sales force and implement targeted programs to support professional growth and sales effectiveness
  • Conduct client sales visits and participate in trade shows
  • Visit key customers and prospects across the United States to deepen relationships, gather feedback and identify new growth opportunities
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences and industry events to stay informed on market trends and build relationships with prospective and existing customers
  • Assist in planning road trips/blitz visits to promote Medisca offerings
  • Actively network within the industry, gathering intelligence to improve sales strategies and market positioning
  • Analyze sales and statistics
  • Continuously monitor sales metrics, KPIs and performance data for each territory to ensure alignment with regional and national objectives
  • Analyze trends within each territory and determine sales growth potential
  • Analyze monthly statistics for the territory
  • Establish and evaluate KPIs for the sales team, track daily/monthly sales and review supplementary reports
  • Cross-functional collaboration and alignment
  • Partner with product management, marketing and other internal departments to ensure alignment and cross-functional collaboration
  • Provide product teams with feedback based on market knowledge and customer needs
  • Strategic contributions
  • Lead national growth initiatives: align the Canadian commercial strategy with global objectives, including MAZ expansion and new product launches
  • Price and margin optimization: collaborate with financial and commercial analysts to ensure pricing strategies maintain profitability and competitiveness
  • Sales enablement and training: work with LP3 and internal teams to embed standard operating procedures and compliance standards into training programs for faster onboarding and consistent execution
  • Digital transformation: champion CRM optimization and data-driven decision-making to improve forecasting accuracy and territory performance
  • Cross-functional leadership: work closely with marketing, product management and operations teams to create bundles and promotional campaigns that increase average order value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in sales management
  • Six (6) years of leadership experience
  • Valid passport and ability to travel up to 12 weeks per year
  • At least five (5) years of experience promoting pharmaceuticals to physicians
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel) required
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French
  • Strong leadership, positive attitude and ability to influence and mentor others
  • Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of CRM and QMS (MasterControl).
