About the role

  • Pharmacy / Administrative Assistant at Medavie receiving authorization requests and processing them efficiently in a hybrid work environment. Collaborating with team members and providing excellent client service.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving authorization requests via fax from providers
  • Ensure all required information is obtained to process requests efficiently
  • Resolve issues
  • Consistently demonstrate a client focused, above and beyond approach

Requirements

  • Post secondary diploma or degree in Health, Medical Administration, Office Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A genuine desire to help people — this is non negotiable
  • Strong communication skills — clear, concise, and friendly
  • A “whatever it takes” attitude and comfort with new challenges every day
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to multitask across multiple systems
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage both routine and challenging calls or cases
  • Accuracy and efficiency while working under time constraints
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Mature, professional judgment and sound decision making
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
