Responsibilities
Partner with the Director of Capital Planning to set, monitor, and achieve department goals and priorities with concentration in long-term initiatives.
Assist the Director of Capital Planning to support the development of potential initiatives, new or expanded programs, policy updates, and department budgets. Assist in the development and processing of associated memorandums.
Oversee the management of the Accelerated Repair Program, particularly the long-term outlook for programming and budget. Support timely processing of reviews including material for Board approvals. Manage the development of additional or expanded aspects of the Program.
Oversee the management of the annual Statement of Interest review processes and due diligence for Core Program and Accelerated Repair Program. Support Capital Planning’s research, review, analysis, and presentation of associated material.
Assist in the oversight of vendor contracts including program coordination and long-term planning. Concentration areas may include Technical Services, Commissioning, Post Occupancy Evaluation, and School Survey.
Assist the Director of Capital Planning in preparing, verifying, and issuing regular reports sharing key project information and critical program decisions for internal and external audiences as well as the MSBA Board of Directors.
Collaborate and perform technical documents to ensure project conformance with MSBA guidelines and policies.
Lead coordination of updates to internal and external manuals and other tools for use by staff and districts to inform and ensure consistent application of MSBA grant policy for districts.
Participate as a member of the Owner’s Project Manager Review Panel, on a rotational basis, as an assigned MSBA staff member.
Participate as a member of the Designer Selection Panel, on a rotational basis, as an assigned MSBA staff member.
Represent the MSBA through public outreach presentations with various professional organizations.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of project management experience working with project management firms, designers, contractors, or other stakeholders required.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience required.
Ability to work hybrid work schedule - minimum of two (2) in-office days per week
Experience working with or interpreting Massachusetts laws, including M.G.L. Chapter, 30, Chapter 149 and 149A, and Chapter 7 preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver executive-level presentations that present technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
Success in roles requiring execution of multiple tasks while responding to multiple priorities.
Proven ability to work with efficiency, flexibility, and confidence.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people – junior and senior, nonprofit, local/state government, education, and from diverse backgrounds.
Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams. Knowledge of Power BI and/or Tableau software is a plus.
