About the role

  • Sales Account Manager at MANN+HUMMEL overseeing all aspects of commercial account management. Engaging in new growth opportunities and managing relationships with key automotive clients.

Responsibilities

  • The Sales Account Manager serves as the primary daily contact responsible for all commercial aspects associated with the account support actions of the assigned customers
  • Responsible for the daily management of all accounts within the sales organization, while aggressively pursuing new growth opportunities
  • Provide effective management of sales efforts in support of Business Plan Targets in sales, profitability, and AR performance
  • Provide regular updates to the Sales Director concerning both current and new potential customer account activities
  • Must maintain detailed knowledge of both current and targeted profitability by product group and customer
  • Will be responsible for development and successful implementation of innovative new business acquisition strategies within current customer base as well as targeted new customers
  • Serves as the primary managerial contact for OE/OES filter customers, and is responsible for ensuring both the customer, as well as all appropriate organizations within M+H are effectively managed
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both internally and externally of M+H organization in support of key projects
  • Account manager will be actively involved in global coordination of key customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other technical/business-related field
  • 5-10 years’ experience in OE/OES Sales and/or Category Management
  • Experience managing Stellantis and GM accounts
  • Experience in outside sales with OEMs, or Tier 1 Automotive/Truck suppliers
  • Current passport and visa
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Efficiency using Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (mostly domestic)
  • Disciplined and able to work well under pressure
  • Previous sales experience in passenger car and OEM on-highway markets, as well as filtration is highly desired
