About the role

  • HR Marketing and Engagement Specialist focusing on recruitment and retention through strategic content and engagement. Managing social media and internal communications at UVA Community Health.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment and retention through creative storytelling, strategic content, and authentic engagement across digital and physical platforms.
  • Manage HR recruitment social media presence.
  • Support UVA Community Health internal HR-related communication campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Executive leadership to design internal campaigns that strengthen employee engagement, recognition, and belonging.
  • Produce social media content, videos, and graphics that highlight the employee experience, culture, and career growth opportunities.
  • Create compelling written and visual content for UVACH intranet initiatives and HR communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, social media management, or communications; experience in healthcare or human resources preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to write engaging, mission-driven content across platforms.
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design tools.
  • Strong project management, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Deep understanding of how storytelling and digital engagement drive workforce culture and community connection.

Benefits

  • This role has flexibility to be hybrid, but does require regular travel within the UVA Community Health service area
