About the role
- Consultant for innovation funding at Leyton, supporting companies in R&D initiatives. Engaging with clients and managing funding applications while understanding technical business.
Responsibilities
- You identify and structure R&D projects with respect to their eligibility for funding, advise on suitable programs and tax instruments such as the research allowance, and accompany the application from the initial concept through to approval
- You understand our clients' business in detail and take an active lead in driving it forward to ensure milestones are achieved in a timely manner
- You support our Business Development at client meetings as a technical expert and know how to communicate complex technologies and innovations convincingly—technically sound and with a clear business benefit
- You work in a goal-oriented way and always keep your KPIs and the deadlines for funding applications in view.
Requirements
- You have a completed degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Business Administration or similar) and possess strong technical understanding
- You bring at least 2–3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in consulting or technical project management
- You are not a theorist but a strong communicator, used to driving projects independently and at pace
- Experience with funding applications is an advantage—what matters most is that you can present complex technical and scientific issues precisely and in a structured manner
- Fluent German and English
