Corporate Accountant managing accounts and financial documentation for Letko, Brosseau & Associates. Supporting budgeting, financial statements, and audits in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank accounts
Perform bank reconciliations and analyze cash flow
Maintain and analyze documentation and manage communications related to employee expenses (weekly and quarterly reports, rates, templates, etc.)
Ensure preparation and filing of various legal and administrative documents related to firm operations (e.g., 1% training contribution, the firm's and Letko Brosseau mutual funds' GST/QST returns, and payroll remittance reports)
Participate in the preparation of the consolidated quarterly budget
Assist in the preparation of the firm's monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and those of its related companies
Assist in the preparation of the semi-annual and annual financial statements of the Letko Brosseau Funds
Assist with the audit file for the annual financial statements of Letko Brosseau & Associates and the Funds
Assist in documenting procedures for the corporate accounting team
Work on continuous improvement of the firm's accounting practices
Perform various recurring tasks related to accounting for the Letko Brosseau Funds (reconciliations, etc.)
Requirements
University degree in Accounting
3 years of experience in a similar role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken
