About the role
- Associate providing accounting and financial reporting support services at Baker Tilly for not-for-profit clients. Collaborating with diverse client sectors to deliver high quality and accurate deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Provide best in-class basic accounting and financial reporting support services to clients
- Provide accounting related services including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger and reporting
- Prepare client statements and reports for next level review
- Proactively communicate status of work and seek clarity from lead
- Answer basic accounting and software questions, escalating as needed
- Maintain and expand knowledge base of accounting principles and practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field desired
- Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping and payroll principles
- Experience in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct and/or Bill.com a plus
- Experience and knowledge working within MS Office Suite
