Business Development Representative responsible for outbound pipeline generation for an AI education company. Engaging with school districts through strategic prospecting and personalized outreach.
Responsibilities
Own outbound prospecting into target school districts (calls, email, LinkedIn, and creative channels)
Build and execute account-based strategies to engage multiple stakeholders across complex organizations
Identify and connect with key decision-makers and influencers (superintendents, curriculum leaders, tech leaders, etc.)
Craft highly personalized messaging that clearly communicates Kira’s value
Generate qualified pipeline by booking high-quality meetings for Account Executives
Partner closely with AEs to prioritize accounts, share insights, and iterate on outreach strategy
Continuously test, learn, and refine outbound approaches based on results and feedback
Develop a strong point of view on AI in education and how Kira fits into that landscape
Requirements
1+ years of experience in BDR, SDR (outbound-heavy), or similar prospecting role (SaaS preferred)
Proven ability to generate pipeline through outbound efforts
Strong research and prospecting skills - you know how to navigate complex orgs and find the right people
Excellent written and verbal communication - clear, concise, and tailored
High agency and ownership - you don’t wait for direction, you create momentum
Resilient and comfortable with rejection in a cold outbound environment
Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous, early-stage environments
Experience selling into K-12 education or public sector (Nice to Have)
Experience with enterprise or multi-stakeholder sales cycles (Nice to Have)
Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Apollo, or similar (Nice to Have)
Interest in or exposure to AI / edtech (Nice to Have)
