Business Development Associate responsible for client interactions and sales in energy market consultancy. Working in a dynamic LATAM sales team to help transition towards sustainability.
Responsibilities
Support the sales team in prospecting, qualifying, and researching potential clients across assigned markets or segments
Assist in managing sales pipeline data in the CRM (Salesforce), ensuring accuracy and timely updates
Prepare client‑facing materials, including presentations, proposals, and briefing notes, under guidance from senior team members
Conduct market and company research to support outreach strategies and client discussions
Coordinate and schedule introductory calls, demos, and follow‑up meetings with prospects
Track and report on sales activities, lead progress, and conversion metrics
Collaborate with marketing, product, and research teams to ensure consistent messaging and value proposition
Support client onboarding and handover once deals are closed
Where appropriate, and depending on interest/ability, support the research and publications team in developing our long-term market outlook and analysis.
Requirements
Strong commercial mindset, including creativity and intuition for opportunities that create impact and commercial success.
Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and cope with uncertainty.
Excellent organization skills and a high degree of persistence and diligence.
A can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed e.g. improving internal systems and processes.
Motivated by achieving tangible individual and team commercial targets.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technically and non-technically minded people.
Outstanding written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
Evidence of strong performance in team-oriented environments.
Enthusiasm and curiosity about the energy transition
Written and spoken fluency in Spanish (C2 level)
Proficiency in English (C1 level)****
Desirable attributes:
No prior experience is required, but business development/sales background is highly valued.
Experience selling research or some form of subscription service.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system
Previous professional exposure to energy economics, power markets and power networks would be an advantage.
