About the role

  • Sales Manager leading sales growth across processing and production sectors in Adelaide. Identifying new business opportunities and managing client relationships for revenue generation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales and business development activity across processing, production, manufacturing, and industrial client segments
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and customer retention
  • Build, manage, and expand relationships with key clients, decision-makers, and industry stakeholders
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, tender participation, and strategic account engagement
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through to proposal development, negotiation, and contract close
  • Work closely with internal technical, operational, and leadership teams to develop commercially viable customer solutions
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting, reporting, and market intelligence
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to support pricing, positioning, and growth strategy
  • Support key account management initiatives to strengthen repeat business and long-term partnerships
  • Represent the business at client meetings, site visits, industry events, and networking forums
  • Contribute to commercial planning, pricing discussions, and broader market development initiatives

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a **sales, business development, or commercial** role within processing, production, manufacturing, industrial, or related sectors
  • Demonstrated success in winning new business and growing existing accounts in B2B environments
  • Strong understanding of production, manufacturing, processing, or industrial operations and associated customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales processes, proposals, negotiations, and contract discussions
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Commercial capability including pricing awareness, margin management, and pipeline forecasting
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and well organised, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, marketing, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Existing networks across manufacturing, food processing, industrial production, packaging, logistics, or related sectors (Preferred)
  • Experience selling technical products, equipment, industrial services, or operational solutions (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with tender processes, contract management, and long-cycle B2B sales environments (Preferred)
  • Experience working with both regional and national customer accounts (Preferred)
  • CRM proficiency and a data-driven approach to sales management (Preferred)
