About the role

  • Transport Office Manager responsible for the effective execution of the LGV Transport operations at Pets Fulfilment Centre. Leading teams and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • You will be the Main site Operator Licence holder (CPC).
  • Responsibility to ensure all transport compliance is always maintained and adhered to and standards are in line with earned recognition standards.
  • Accountable for all operational & daily aspects of the Transport operation.
  • Lead the team of FLM’s and colleagues alike in a common and consistent direction to achieve the SFC vision.
  • Create dedicated team working and a consistent environment across all teams within Pets at Home including all key stakeholders across Support Office, SDC and Warehouse.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement, generating new ideas, sharing best practice, and working as one team across the site.
  • Accountable for performance ensuring efficiencies of all areas are in line with Transport DC budget.
  • Accountable for ensuring any Insurance and Incident reports involving the team are completed in a comprehensive and timely manner.
  • Accountable for ensuring all IDGA cases involving the team are dealt with in a timely manner in line with PAH policies.
  • Accountable for developing high performing teams on your shift.
  • Be a leader in the planning of and attendance at site events and forums (incl. Health & Safety, Continuous Improvement etc.).

Requirements

  • Transport Compliance Management experience (previously sat in an O License).
  • Knowledge and experience of Logistics operations, transport and or warehousing.
  • Knowledge and experience of Transport operations and relevant management Systems such as FTA Vision, RTC, Paragon and other Transport related systems.
  • Skilled at stakeholder and customer relationship management.
  • Clear, articulate, and confident communicator – able to engage and influence key stakeholders.
  • Leads with integrity, earns trust, recognises, and admits own mistakes and takes personal responsibility.
  • Creates shared goals whilst allowing a competitive spirit to flourish.
  • Action orientated with the energy and tenacity to succeed in a demanding environment whilst working with challenging systems.
  • Challenge issues across the operation whilst respecting people, invite, listen, and act on feedback from others.
