About the role

  • Key Account Manager leading sales for iNova's pharmaceutical categories in Australia. Achieving targets through strategic customer-specific business planning and effective execution across Pharmacy channels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct & deliver the assigned iNova business categories within the assigned Pharmacy customer groups to achieve or exceed a defined sales target.
  • Deliver planned financial performance of the assigned customers for key categories.
  • Develop & implement a strategic, customer specific business plan that achieves all mutually agreed targets set out for defined portfolios including Cough/Cold/Flu, GI, Skin care, Sun, Galenical's, Oral Care and Medicinal/Wound/First aid.
  • Set out required trade spend levels and then manage within the agreed guidelines.
  • Identify & implement effective customer programs that are driven through the Brand vision & strategies.
  • Lead the coordination and development of cross functional initiatives in the area of supply chain, finance & marketing with the customer.
  • Communicate the overall customer category vision & key goals with both marketing & other teams during the planning process.
  • Ensure range/SKU optimisation.
  • Drive demand fulfilment through effective allocation of priorities, active participation in S&OP discussions and consolidating and owning demand forecasts.
  • Facilitate all product communication and accurate information to relevant wholesaler/s customers.

Requirements

  • Key Account management experience within the Pharmaceutical OTC, FMCG, or Life Sciences industries.
  • Experience in a similar role will also be considered.
  • A demonstrated understanding of basic marketing principles and the selling process.
  • Experience in working with key Pharmacy banner experience is essential.
  • Solid understanding of business management / finance principles.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products is essential.
  • Tertiary qualifications preferred (Business/Commerce).
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at the one time.
  • Ability to prepare & present professionally for key meetings and presentations.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence others at all levels.
  • Ability to analyse data/market information and to draw actionable conclusions from the analysis.
  • Ability to take a constructive and innovative approach to problem solving and to devise alternative solutions.
  • Ability to convene and facilitate cross-functional team meetings.
  • Build relationships at all levels of an organisation (internal/external).
