About the role

  • Advice Manager guiding the future direction of our advice team at interactive investor. Leading recruitment, development, and performance management of financial advisers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily line management for a group of financial advisers, facilitating their performance, capabilities, and professional growth.
  • Establish clear expectations, goals, and accountabilities for advisers that align with business objectives and client outcomes.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, and provide feedback to enhance adviser development and ensure consistent quality of advice.
  • Recognize and address the development needs of advisers by creating customized growth and career plans.
  • Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance environment that prioritizes professionalism, continuous learning, and client-centric results.
  • Function within and uphold the T&C framework, collaborating closely with Risk and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Ensure that advisers consistently meet regulatory, professional, and internal standards.
  • Perform regular evaluations, observations, and reviews of adviser competencies and behaviors.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for any issues concerning advice quality, conduct, or capability, facilitating prompt and effective resolutions.
  • Serve as an active, client-facing Financial Adviser, maintaining competence and adhering to FCA standards.
  • Provide high-quality, regulated financial advice to clients, ensuring compliance with suitability, documentation, and Consumer Duty expectations.
  • Demonstrate exemplary standards in advice quality, professionalism, and client engagement.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with appropriate CPD, qualifications, and SPS requirements relevant to Financial Advisers.
  • Assist in identifying, recruiting, and onboarding top-tier financial advisers who align with the values of ii Advice.
  • Participate in the structured growth of the advice team while upholding standards of advice quality and culture.
  • Support the early development and effective integration of new advisers into the advice team.
  • Contribute practical insights to the continuous improvement of the ii Advice proposition, guided by feedback from advisers and clients.
  • Encourage the use of technology and tools that enhance both adviser productivity and client experiences.
  • Identify ways to streamline processes, minimize obstacles, and promote scalable, high-quality advice delivery.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in financial planning, such as Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, markets, and regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, creating a positive and performance-driven culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and financial regulations.
