Responsibilities
Manage the HR customer service desk, ensuring prompt, professional, and solution-oriented support for managers, staff, and applicants.
Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries.
Supervise full-time staff and student employees, assigning tasks, providing coaching and mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting professional development to ensure high-quality HR service delivery.
Apply systems thinking to analyze employee data and generate actionable reports.
Lead initiatives to enhance onboarding and customer service experiences.
Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring alignment with institutional best practices and compliance requirements.
Serve as a liaison with campus partners to coordinate background checks, I-9 verification, compliance training, and employee records management.
Oversee and triage incoming HR service requests received through the ticketing system, office walk-ins, and email.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of HR transactions in Workday.
Monitor and manage HR workflows, proactively identifying and addressing bottlenecks.
Ensure adherence to UT policies and procedures.
Oversee and maintain HR filing systems and records.
Manage the collection, organization, and timely processing of recurring employment documentation.
Identify and escalate complex or sensitive HR issues to the HR leadership team.
Lead and contribute to strategic HR initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, social sciences, public administration or a related field.
Five years of experience in human resources administration or related field.
Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment.
More than five years of experience in human resources administration (Preferred).
At least two years of supervisory experience (Preferred).
Bilingual in English and Spanish (Preferred).
HR Certification (Preferred).
Experience working with sensitive and confidential information in an office setting (Preferred).
Experience working in a customer service environment (Preferred).
Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills (Preferred).
