About the role

  • Business Development Manager at GreenPocket identifying market trends in energy management. Collaborating with the CEO to establish strategic business direction in a dynamic startup.

Responsibilities

  • You will work directly with the CEO on GreenPocket’s strategic direction.
  • With your broad interests, you will identify market-relevant key elements over several months to win new direct customers from specific segments (e.g., retail, municipalities, and the housing sector).
  • From your findings you will derive concrete action items and actively engage in initial conversations with prospective customers.
  • You welcome the challenge of regularly dealing with new or changed regulatory requirements (including the Energy Efficiency Ordinance) and assessing their impact on the company.
  • In addition: you are passionate about entrepreneurship and eager to explore growth opportunities in new markets.
  • Market and competitor analyses are right up your alley.
  • You enjoy working on market entry concepts, business models for corporate customers and innovations, creating Ideal Customer Profiles, and taking creative approaches when appropriate.
  • You independently lead your market-relevant strategic projects, yet know exactly when to involve internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product Management, Development and Controlling, and you also coordinate with external service providers.
  • You demonstrate your creative skills in developing marketing campaigns and customer acquisition strategies.
  • You discuss all your results directly with the CEO.

Requirements

  • You have completed a degree in business administration, economics, or a program with a management focus, or you hold another comparable qualification that convinces us.
  • You are an analytical thinker who understands connections and can analyze them quickly.
  • Ideally, you have already gained initial experience in business development at a software company, preferably in a startup or consulting environment.
  • It is desirable that you are interested in topics related to energy efficiency and AI or already have experience in this field.
  • With your excellent PowerPoint skills you captivate others with your presentations, and you also feel very confident in Excel.
  • With your strong German and English skills you are comfortable in any conversation with prospective customers.
