About the role

  • Talent Acquisition Specialist overseeing the full life cycle of recruitment for GLS, a company improving transportation financing options through advanced analytics and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Create a thorough recruitment and interviewing plan for each open position based on collaboration with the hiring managers, including regular follow-up to discuss results and adjustments as needed
  • Source, through various forms of advertising and/or vendor networks, to provide both active and passive quality candidates for all open positions within a timely manner
  • Develop an online organizational presence in order to attract a diverse pool of candidates including development of social media and professional networking sites, suggesting improvements for the organization’s website career page and researching alternative avenues for internet-based recruiting
  • Establish strong working relationships with all organizational leaders in order to provide top quality service during recruitment process
  • Coordinate all pre-employment background review processes, ensuring selected candidates meet organizational standards
  • Participate in organizing and implementing college recruiting initiatives
  • Research and participate in career fairs and networking events to increase awareness of company brand
  • Own administrative HR functions including onboarding, new hire orientation and other administrative duties as necessary
  • Maintain electronic records and files that support work performed, results, and outcomes

Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree required
  • Up to one (1) year of experience in an HR department or recruitment/staffing role preferred
  • Prior experience with sourcing passive candidates using, but not limited to, the following resources: LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, Indeed
  • Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Team player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environment
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of internet and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
