About the role

  • Raw Material Planning Manager at Givaudan in Budapest ensuring availability and quality of raw materials. Leading a team and coordinating planning activities across departments for optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure raw material and packaging material availability in the right quantity and quality.
  • Lead team members, ensuring people management practices, succession planning, and talent development to improve performance and organizational continuity.
  • Stay in close and regular contact with the relevant site Planning Managers.
  • Manage daily activities of the raw material planning team, ensuring clear task allocation, workload balancing, and compliance with operational procedures.
  • Support succession management by identifying important skills within the team, ensuring adequate backup coverage for critical tasks, and maintaining continuity during absences or transitions.
  • Guide talent development at an operational level through on-the-job training, knowledge sharing, and regular feedback to improve team competence and performance.
  • Lead diverse projects and lead programs from a planning perspective.
  • Master all tools and activities in the area of raw materials planning.
  • Use measurements for performance monitoring.
  • Manage daily business with the relevant MRP controllers (including MRP management, complete order tracking process, constraint and exception management).
  • Ensure a constant flow of information between the planning teams (including across locations), the interfaces to other departments (PUR, QC, QM&I, DIS, OTC, RDM, etc.) and external parties (e.g., freight forwarder, if necessary).
  • Analyze and optimize inventory levels and material master data. Identify slow/non-movers or other vulnerable materials and take the necessary measures to avoid or minimize write-offs/discards. Use, for example, the SAP SLOB tool to track the measures.
  • Follow relevant standard guidelines (e.g., STO policy, global best practices - site and supply planning, SOPs and OPLs, ISO) that are published and communicated. Address areas rules/procedures are lacking and assist with resolution or implementation.
  • Support continuous improvement processes within the department, but also across interfaces, along the value stream to improve overall performance in safety, quality, service, and costs. The improvement process follows the LEAN philosophy.
  • Coordinate and track supplier complaints in their responsibilities according to defined rules.
  • Complete all actions related to outgoing STOs for relevant MRP contracts.
  • Take capacity constraints (e.g., load balancing of goods receipts) into account in daily business.
  • Accomplish relevant WF items and the setup or adjustment of parameters in MM02 (e.g., new product localization processes).
  • Represent the planning team in special cross-functional meetings or projects.

Requirements

  • College / University Graduate
  • At least 5 years of supply chain, planning and inventory management experience mandatory
  • SAP knowledge
  • Fluency in English, German or Dutch knowledge advantageous
