About the role

  • Labor Relations Manager providing expert support in labor law matters at GE Vernova. Focusing on fostering positive labor relations and managing legal challenges within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Close collaboration with the CoE “Labor Relations"
  • Lead negotiations on behalf of the HR department
  • Regular meetings with works councils
  • Responsible for maintaining and fostering a constructive, trust-based relationship with employee representatives/works councils and their committees
  • Coordination function with labor authorities
  • Management and coordination of all labor law matters in cooperation with the works council
  • Preparation and conduct of negotiations with employee representatives (e.g., works agreements)
  • Advising managers and HR People Partners/Business Partners on collective and individual employment law matters
  • Ensuring compliance with labor law, collective bargaining agreements, and internal company regulations
  • Supporting restructurings, reorganizations, and change processes with consideration of labor law frameworks
  • Collaborating with external legal counsel and participating in labor court proceedings
  • Training and raising awareness of managers on labor law and employee relations
  • Monitoring legislative changes, case law and developments in labor-related negotiations, and following up with the works councils

Requirements

  • Completed degree in law or a degree in economics with a focus on labor/employment law
  • Solid knowledge of collective and individual labor law (e.g., Works Constitution Act [BetrVG], Working Hours Act [ArbZG], Part‑Time and Fixed‑Term Employment Act [TzBfG], etc.)
  • Preferable: professional experience in HR work with a focus on labor law / labor relations, ideally in a company covered by collective bargaining agreements
  • Preferable: experience working with employee representatives and leading negotiations
  • Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken
  • Good command of English
