About the role
- Shipping Leadperson ensuring accurate shipping and training personnel in logistics operations for a leading bakery goods producer.
Responsibilities
- Assist supervisors in directing the activities of shipping personnel on assigned shift to separate and accurately ship product to destination.
- Ensure that shipping employees are instructed and trained in the care and safe operations of equipment.
- Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials.
- Perform continuous inspection of products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good operating condition.
- Promote positive relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel through enforcement of safety policies and procedures, including inspections and periodic safety meetings, etc.
- May occasionally work in place of employees out sick, on vacation, etc.
- Plan and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of shipping.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Ensure compliance with all company rules, policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, etc..).

- Four (4) or more years experience in shipping or related fields
