About the role

  • Project Manager, Patient Marketing overseeing patient recruitment initiatives in clinical research. Managing marketing efforts and team collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee internal patient marketing dept including graphic designer, social media coordinator and account managers.
  • Implementing ad creation and timelines for sponsor and internal campaigns.
  • Clinical research familiarity: Experience supporting enrollment, site recruitment, study awareness campaigns, or patient engagement initiatives within a CRO, site network, or life sciences environment.
  • Strategic marketing skills: Ability to develop and execute targeted marketing plans that drive participant recruitment and support study goals.
  • Operational mindset: Comfortable working closely with study teams, recruiters, and site staff to ensure alignment between marketing efforts and enrollment needs.
  • Content development expertise: Can create clear, compliant study-facing materials (landing pages, ads, email outreach, social content) tailored to specific populations.
  • Analytics: Skilled in using metrics, dashboards, and funnel insights to optimize campaign performance and adjust tactics quickly.
  • Regulatory awareness: Understands IRB/EC processes, ICF requirements, and guardrails around language and participant facing communications.
  • Strong project management: Can juggle multiple studies, deadlines, and stakeholder needs while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Manage and track all recruitment marketing and advertising efforts across ERG sites.
  • Tracking site advertising budgets and spending (ERG monthly and Sponsor)
  • Regulatory / IRB approvals
  • Marketing/promotional materials
  • Post-Study recap and evaluations
  • Work as liaison between sites and recruitment service vendors on marketing and recruitment initiatives.
  • Review vendors and monitor recruitment trends.
  • Additionally, this role may encompass responsibilities beyond those outlined above, as required by the evolving needs of the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in clinical research or life sciences.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience in clinical research marketing or patient recruitment accepted.
