About the role

  • Compensation Partner assisting in the administration of compensation programs at Empower. Collaborating with HR to conduct job evaluations and determine market competitive pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the administration of the company-wide compensation function
  • Creating, implementing and administering market competitive fixed and variable pay programs that comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide guidance to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and managers to develop compensation solutions and comprehensive pay decisions
  • Partners with other HR groups, leaders or managers to provide support on major project initiatives
  • Participates in compensation and salary budget surveys
  • Prepares salary data for submission
  • Maintains understanding of applicable laws and regulations including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, minimum wage, etc.
  • Perform analysis on ad hoc requests and projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent HR and compensation experience
  • 3-4 years Compensation experience, preferably in a global environment
  • Experience with variable pay plans, budget and structure activities, and job evaluation (market pricing methodology) preferred
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely detailed and accurate, coupled with the ability to see the broader picture
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to easily and clearly convey data analysis into an understandable format
  • Sound judgment and a high level of integrity with the ability to address sensitive and confidential information, and make good decisions under pressure
  • Team collaboration skills are a must
  • Must be comfortable with general analytics and reporting methodologies
  • Ability to sort and sift data and make logical conclusions
  • Understanding of DOL/FLSA guidelines and its application.
  • Proven accuracy with data entry
  • Systems knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc) is required
  • Intermediate-to-Advanced Excel skill is a plus
  • Workday knowledge highly preferred and Workday Advanced Compensation desired
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is a plus
