Responsibilities
Strategic and operational expansion of the venture capital practice at the Berlin office
Advising companies at all stages of their lifecycle, in particular from formation through financing rounds to exit strategies
Support for national and international venture capital and corporate transactions
Advising investors, in particular business angels, family offices and corporate VCs
Conducting and managing due diligence reviews
Drafting, negotiating and structuring complex agreements in the venture capital context
Legal support for restructurings as well as corporate and commercial law matters
Further development and expansion of existing client relationships and active network management
Close cooperation with other practice groups and offices on interdisciplinary mandates
Participation in the continued development and strategic positioning of the Berlin office
Requirements
Several years of substantial professional experience in venture capital, ideally at partner level or in a partner-adjacent role
A well-established network in the venture capital, start-up and investor ecosystem
Proven expertise advising start-ups, scale-ups and investors
Extensive experience supporting financing rounds, equity structures and exit transactions
Confident in independently leading and developing mandates
Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong understanding of the market and its stakeholders
Strong business development skills and interest in further expanding a growing practice
High professional excellence as well as solution-oriented, client-focused advisory skills
Interest in having scope to shape and actively contribute to the growth of an office in the development phase
Business-fluent English and experience with international mandates
