About the role

  • HR Consultant supporting E.ON’s operational HR management, onboarding and offboarding staff in Essen. Collaborating closely with HR Business Partners on various projects for employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • You support the HR Business Partners in operational HR management, in particular by independently implementing individual personnel measures including contract management.
  • You are independently responsible for onboarding and offboarding our employees and for managing the associated administrative processes.
  • You are a knowledgeable point of contact for employees and managers on administrative HR matters such as leave, employment references, and maternity/parental leave.
  • You continuously manage and improve our operational HR processes.
  • You act as the interface to the payroll team and independently resolve payroll-related queries.
  • You support the HR Business Partners with cross-functional HR projects, ad-hoc requests, and the annual pay/bonus process.

Requirements

  • A completed university degree or equivalent qualification—ideally with a focus on human resources
  • At least 1–2 years of professional experience in operational HR support
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
  • Confident user of standard MS Office applications and SAP HR
  • Knowledge of employment/labor law is advantageous
  • Independent, structured and proactive working style
  • Quick comprehension and a strong solution-oriented mindset
  • High level of commitment, initiative, reliability and team spirit
  • Confident and persuasive manner in verbal and written communication with employees and managers
