Responsibilities
Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool and automate workflows and reports to increase efficiency
Advise internal customers on Software Asset Management and support license inventories and audits
Analyze license usage and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities
Manage the SAP license inventory, including ensuring correct measurement, assigning licenses, and coordinating license procurement activities
Advise SAP-using IT areas/products—particularly on selecting the appropriate licensing—optimize license costs and inventory, and define requirements for new SAP contracts
Support Service Managers in planning, managing, and charging license and maintenance fees
Requirements
Completed 2-year technical college education or at least a 3-year vocational training, plus additional specialized further education or equivalent experience acquired by other means
Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and further developing SAM tools
Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
Ability to analyze license usage and identify potential cost savings
Ideally, experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench (LAW) and knowledge of SAP license metrics and contractual terms
