Responsibilities
- Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool and automate workflows and reports to increase efficiency
- Advise internal customers on Software Asset Management and support license inventories and audits
- Analyze license usage and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities
- Manage the SAP license inventory, including ensuring correct measurement, assigning licenses, and coordinating license procurement activities
- Advise SAP-using IT areas/products—particularly on selecting the appropriate licensing—optimize license costs and inventory, and define requirements for new SAP contracts
- Support Service Managers in planning, managing, and charging license and maintenance fees
Requirements
- Completed 2-year technical college education or at least a 3-year vocational training, plus additional specialized further education or equivalent experience acquired by other means
- Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and further developing SAM tools
- Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
- Ability to analyze license usage and identify potential cost savings
- Ideally, experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench (LAW) and knowledge of SAP license metrics and contractual terms
