Responsibilities
Identify, target, and actively pursue net-new logo opportunities within a defined territory or vertical using strategic outbound methods and data-driven prospecting
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers, uncovering expansion opportunities and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
Lead the end-to-end sales process for both new and existing clients, from initial outreach and discovery to proposal, negotiation, and close
Build and execute customized territory and account plans to penetrate high-value targets, expand existing relationships, and align Digital Realty’s solutions with each client’s business needs
Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams—Sales Engineering, Commercial Management, Customer Success, and Sales Operations—to accelerate sales cycles, resolve client issues, and deliver a cohesive experience
Engage and co-sell with key partners and strategic alliances to expand reach and unlock new customer opportunities, while also leveraging partnerships to benefit existing clients
Manage inbound interest from Marketing and Partner teams and convert qualified leads from both new prospects and current customers into actionable sales conversations
Deliver a strong and compelling value proposition tailored to the technical and business goals of both prospective and existing customers
Track and manage all pipeline and account activity in Salesforce (SFDC), maintaining accurate records and ensuring visibility into opportunity status, client health, and forecast accuracy (Clari)
Maintain deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends to inform outreach, account management, and positioning strategies
Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets by maintaining a healthy, well-qualified pipeline and driving growth within your existing customer base
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
3-5+ years of experience in sales roles involving both acquisition and account management, ideally within data center, telecom, IT infrastructure, or related technology environments
Proven track record of successfully sourcing, engaging, and closing net-new business opportunities, as well as growing and retaining existing accounts
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with strategic partners, such as alliances, resellers, and cloud providers, to drive co-selling motions and expand market penetration for both new and current customers
Excellent outbound prospecting, cold-calling, and relationship-building skills, with a comfort level in engaging senior-level decision makers across IT and business functions
Strong solution selling capabilities and a consultative sales mindset, applicable to both new prospects and existing clients
Skilled at managing complex sales cycles, multi-stakeholder buying processes, and ongoing account management activities
Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment
Proficient in Salesforce and committed to data accuracy, activity tracking, and pipeline hygiene
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to a variety of technical and executive audiences
Strategic thinker with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute against both short-term targets and long-term territory and account goals.
