Culture & People Generalist supporting HR processes and employee development at DCI in Kent, WA. Collaborating with teams to enhance engagement and manage employee relations effectively.
Responsibilities
Participate in the company safety committee (preferable to have experience in this area)
Works collaboratively with ownership, management, payroll, accounting, legal and all external partners to reach solutions on people and process issues.
Contribute to HR projects that enhance retention, learning, and organizational growth.
Listen, help problem solve, and coach employees and managers working through employee relations issues and performance coaching
Support compensation activities through an annual compensation review cycle
Participate in employee performance management and recognition initiatives
Provide support in the areas of recruitment, benefits, wellness, leave administration, company intern program and global employee initiatives.
Occasional back up support to our Office / Facilities Manager.
Requirements
4-6 years of HR generalist experience with 1-2 years of that specifically in responsibilities mentioned within the requirements.
PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification a plus.
Able to handle and manage uncomfortable conversations and open to feedback. We are all in this together and have very open communication on our team. Bringing someone in that shares those values is highly important to us.
Great customer service responsiveness, demonstrates initiative to anticipate employee needs and makes recommendations for continuous improvement.
Able to engage with employees in all areas of the organization and build credibility while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.

Strong sense of urgency to meet commitments, follow up and results focused
Capability to expand HR capability and grow with the company
Knowledge of federal and state employment law, hiring practices, basic benefits and compensation administration (global HR practices a strong plus).
