Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to primarily Government Contracts and Litigation lawyers
Responsible for complex legal document preparation, editing, and document management
Proofread client materials, working with the document author to provide suggested edits
Perform file maintenance working with the file management system
Work with Billing Coordinator to ensure accuracy and compliance with complex client billing requirements
Cooperate with Client Services Manager to assist with outstanding invoices and account receivables
Collaborate with timekeepers, proofread, input and/or verify billable time entry
Complete electronic court filings
Review and process incoming/outgoing mail
Maintain client contact, in-person and over the phone
Book and organize travel arrangements and reimbursements
Handle administrative confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of Litigation and/or Transactional experience in a mid to large sized law firm
Proficient in legal secretarial and administrative tasks including document preparation, proofreading, filing, time entry, expenses, telephone contact, travel arrangements, and calendar maintenance
Familiar with local court rules
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage a high-volume workload
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to provide excellent client service within a team-oriented environment
Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
