About the role

  • Business Continuity Manager responsible for developing BCM structures and standards in an international environment. Collaborating with European subsidiaries to ensure organizational resilience in critical situations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish BCM structure: You will develop an international Business Continuity framework and oversee its implementation across the European entities.
  • Establish standards & policies: You define requirements, design processes, and create uniform standards across the group.
  • Understand & assess risks: You conduct risk and business impact analyses and derive concrete measures to safeguard business processes.
  • Develop emergency and recovery plans: You create practical plans, test them regularly, and ensure they work effectively in real incidents.
  • Support crisis management: You assist the crisis team, coordinate measures, and maintain oversight during challenging situations.
  • Ensure effectiveness: You plan and conduct exercises, review processes, and continuously improve the BCM.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in Business Continuity Management, ideally in an international environment
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (e.g., BSI 200-4) and experience in developing policies and processes
  • Analytical, structured thinking and a solid understanding of risk management
  • Very good German and English skills and confident communication with various stakeholders (both languages used daily)
  • Resilient, solution-oriented personality with enthusiasm for conceptual work and international collaboration
