About the role

Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead for your domain, working with our internal teams and with customers
- Define R&D technical directions related to high-voltage equipment and SF6 alternatives, lead innovative projects and help teams develop their skills
- Propose the developments and investments required for your activities
- Build and maintain relationships with partners: manufacturers, universities, laboratories
- Manage R&D projects end-to-end from initiation to delivery, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and applicable quality and safety standards
- Draft or validate internal reference documents to enable knowledge capitalization and skills development within the teams
- Participate in professional organizations such as Cigré and IEC and in scientific events: conferences, symposiums, round tables, think tanks, etc.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (or Master's) in electrical/energy engineering or equivalent
- PhD preferred (high voltage, dielectrics, materials/gases)
- 10–15 years of experience in high-voltage equipment, including gas-insulated devices (GIS), with proven expertise in design, qualification, industrialization, and operation of such equipment and in studying SF6-free solutions/evaluating alternative gases
- Strong knowledge of IEC 62271 standards and the corresponding test methods
- Proficiency with engineering tools and demonstrated experience in project management processes
- Managerial skills: leadership, ability to mobilize a project team, coaching and mentoring abilities
- Interpersonal skills: natural aptitude for collaborative work, ability to motivate and inspire others
- Ability to synthesize information and communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Fluent in English.
