About the role

  • Vice President of Business Development leading BD efforts across Federal Civilian and DHS markets at CyKor. Driving disciplined opportunity qualification and engaging with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead BD strategy and execution across Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, DHS, and Federal Civilian verticals.
  • Establish structure, predictability, and disciplined BD processes consistent with CyKor’s growth operating rhythm.
  • Guide BD resource allocation, strategic prioritization, and opportunity alignment across all verticals.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and leadership development for BD personnel.
  • Develop and execute BD strategies for DHS and Civilian agencies including DHS HQ, CBP, USCG, CISA, FEMA, and others.
  • Maintain senior-level relationships with government leaders, integrators, and OEM partners in these markets.
  • Support shaping, early architecture alignment, and partner strategy to produce competitive posture before capture.
  • Own pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, and opportunity hygiene across all BD verticals.
  • Ensure that all opportunities are documented and managed in Salesforce according to CEP requirements.
  • Drive accurate quarterly and annual forecasting through disciplined inspection and reporting.
  • Ensure BD qualification rigor and alignment to mission needs, budget availability, and customer validation.
  • Collaborate closely with Alliances to ensure partner strategies align with BD opportunities across Federal Civilian and DHS.
  • Strengthen OEM, SI, and distributor ecosystems that advance BD efforts and competitive positioning.
  • Drive coordinated partner engagement using CyKor’s Quadrilateral Approach.
  • Ensure seamless coordination with Capture Operations for opportunity shaping, transition, and proposal development.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to ensure BD opportunities are structured for successful close and handoff.
  • Collaborate with CTO and Solutions Engineering to validate technical alignment during the solution stage.
  • Work with Marketing to develop campaigns, events, and positioning that support BD activities in DHS and Civilian sectors.

Requirements

  • Proven BD leadership in Federal Civilian and DHS markets.
  • Deep knowledge of federal acquisition and competitive ecosystems.
  • Strong executive presence with government and industry partners.
  • Ability to lead, develop, and scale a high-performing BD organization.
  • Strategic thinking paired with tactical execution capability.
  • High integrity, collaboration, and alignment with CyKor culture.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and drive cross-functional alignment.
