About the role

  • HR Compliance Background Investigations Analyst at Crowe leading background checks and ensuring compliance. Collaborate cross-functionally to interpret findings and uphold regulatory standards amidst evolving compliance landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliant, risk-based background check screening processes
  • Liaise with external background check vendors for timely processing
  • Review and adjudicate background check results against firm standards
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Legal for exceptions and escalations
  • Monitor legislative changes impacting hiring compliance
  • Develop and deliver training for HR teams on background check processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field
  • 3–5+ years of relevant HR compliance, background investigations, or related experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and background screening tools
  • Professional certification in HR compliance, employment law, or related field (e.g., HRCI, SHRM, XLRI, CCEP, etc.) preferred
