About the role
- Procurement Manager managing contracting and documentation for various transport types at DSV. Seeking to source low-cost carrier solutions that meet clients' needs.
Responsibilities
- Own procurement, contracting, and documentation responsibility for LTL, TL, FB transportation, and SMP
- Lead development and execution of negotiation strategies
- Develop subject matter expertise in road transportation
- Provide market intelligence and price trends
- Conduct rigorous analysis of spend data and market trends
- Support and maintain DSV Lead Logistics strategy goals through Carrier Procurement and Compliance
- Maintain carrier database and contract documents
- Monitor key regulatory issues affecting the transportation industry
- Support execution of client-focused transportation RFPs
- Support sales team on new sales opportunities
- Review and maintain standard operating procedures
Requirements
- College degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field or experience in lieu of education
- 5 years' experience in a Logistics Manager, Logistics Procurement, Engineer, Brokerage Manager, or related role
- English fluency (reading, writing, verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Advanced analytical and mathematical skills
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
