About the role

  • HR Manager focusing on performance management and compensation systems in the chemical industry. Engaging with leadership and ensuring compliance in a hybrid work environment within an international family-owned business.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of a company-wide performance management system
  • Development of a variable compensation system for all hierarchical levels, including production
  • Implementation of a software-based target agreement/goal-setting system
  • Definition of KPIs and standards for performance-based pay
  • Conducting compensation benchmarks and market analyses
  • Advising and training managers and employees
  • Active role as a sparring partner for executive management, the CFO and HR leadership
  • Ensuring compliance with labor law and social security regulations
  • Change management and promoting acceptance across the organization
  • Supporting future HR digitization projects (e.g., electronic personnel file)

Requirements

  • Completed degree with a focus on HR, business administration, or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in Compensation & Benefits, Performance Management, or Organizational Development
  • Experience implementing compensation systems in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of collective bargaining law and/or payroll is an advantage
  • Change management and project leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and credibility when working with leadership
  • Excellent German and good English language skills
