Responsibilities
Partner with leadership to maintain and foster relationships with employees that ensures a culture where management preserves the direct relationship with employees and the site remains non-union
Identify risks both internal and external - to a strong, direct relationship between leaders and employees and develop plans to mitigate those risks
Knowledge, guidance, and interpretation on collective bargaining agreements and labor relations issues
Execute positive employee relations and containment processes for multiple locations
Provide innovative ideas/initiatives to increase employee engagement
Provide operational advice and counsel to management, HR and support groups on a broad range of employee relations issues
Develop strong partnerships with business leaders, HR Generalists, HR functions and union leadership to create integrated solutions that will foster a culture based on relationships, trust, and engagement
Develop and provide education on Employee Relations strategies and processes
Assist management and HR in developing strategies related to employee survey feedback
Requirements
5+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization
3+ years of experience creating and developing strategy plans and/or executing strategies and managing projects
3+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior business leaders across functions and/or programs
Experience working with Unions in an HR capacity
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience working Human Resources
3+ years of experience with collective bargaining and an hourly union-represented workforce
