About the role

  • Labor Relations Specialist responsible for employee engagement and labor relations at Boeing. Collaborating with leadership to foster positive employee relations across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to maintain and foster relationships with employees that ensures a culture where management preserves the direct relationship with employees and the site remains non-union
  • Identify risks both internal and external - to a strong, direct relationship between leaders and employees and develop plans to mitigate those risks
  • Knowledge, guidance, and interpretation on collective bargaining agreements and labor relations issues
  • Execute positive employee relations and containment processes for multiple locations
  • Provide innovative ideas/initiatives to increase employee engagement
  • Provide operational advice and counsel to management, HR and support groups on a broad range of employee relations issues
  • Develop strong partnerships with business leaders, HR Generalists, HR functions and union leadership to create integrated solutions that will foster a culture based on relationships, trust, and engagement
  • Develop and provide education on Employee Relations strategies and processes
  • Assist management and HR in developing strategies related to employee survey feedback

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience communicating effectively with multiple levels of an organization
  • 3+ years of experience creating and developing strategy plans and/or executing strategies and managing projects
  • 3+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior business leaders across functions and/or programs
  • Experience working with Unions in an HR capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience working Human Resources
  • 3+ years of experience with collective bargaining and an hourly union-represented workforce
