About the role
- Working on AI and observability solutions for BMW's cloud and edge infrastructures. Engaging in practical applications of research in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Du unterstützt dabei, dass deine wissenschaftliche Arbeit direkte und praxisnahe Anwendung im Betrieb von Cloud- und Edge-Infrastrukturen findet.
- Außerdem wirkst du mit bei der Nutzung von AIOps- und Observability-Ansätzen (z. B. Anomalieerkennung, LLM-gestützte Analyse), um Betriebsprozesse robuster und effizienter zu gestalten.
- Darüber hinaus unterstützt du bei der Untersuchung vorhandener regelmäßiger Betriebsaufgaben und konzipierst Lösungen für deren KI-gestützte Automatisierung.
- Zudem hilfst du mit, Observability-Daten (Metriken, Logs, Traces) zu nutzen, Auffälligkeiten frühzeitig zu erkennen und konkrete Maßnahmen abzuleiten, um Incidents schneller zu lösen und Ausfälle zu vermeiden.
- Du wirkst eng mit unserem Infrastrukturteam zusammen und erhältst tiefe Einblicke in eine hochskalierte, global eingesetzte Plattform.
- Außerdem gewinnst du wertvolle Erkenntnisse über den Einsatz von KI in operativen IT-Prozessen und setzt diese in den Kontext des aktuellen Forschungsstands.
Requirements
- Studium der Informatik oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation.
- Fortgeschrittenes Studium und Erfahrung mit KI/ML, idealerweise auch mit LLMs/Generative AI.
- Kenntnisse in Public-Cloud-Umgebungen, idealerweise Microsoft Azure.
- Erfahrung mit Kubernetes-Plattformen; Kenntnisse in Rancher sind von Vorteil sowie Erfahrung mit gängigen Observability-Stacks, z. B. Grafana, Prometheus und OpenTelemetry.
- Sehr gute Programmierkenntnisse (z. B. Python) sowie Freude an Datenanalyse und sauberer Dokumentation.
- Grundverständnis moderner Entwicklungsprozesse und Tooling (Git/GitHub, CI/CD, DevOps-Grundlagen) und Grundverständnis operativer Prozesse (Monitoring/Observability, Incident- und Problem-Management) ist von Vorteil.
- Sehr gute Deutsch- oder Englischkenntnisse.
