About the role
- System Administrator III supporting lifecycle hardware replacement for CNS at Y-12 National Security Complex. Ensuring compliance and optimizing deployment processes in secure environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily workstation lifecycle activities including imaging, configuration, deployment, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and retirement.
- Serve as senior technical point-of-contact for on-site coordination with CNS system owners, infrastructure teams, and facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with technical requirements, security obligations, QA standards, and document submittal requirements.
- Optimize workflow efficiency to meet CNS's high-volume deployment tempo and operational deadlines.
- Provide escalation support for complex workstation or connectivity issues across classified and unclassified enclaves.
- Mentor junior staff (System Administrators I/II) and ensure adherence to procedures, safety, and operational discipline.
Requirements
- Associates or higher degree in a technical field with 6 to 10 years of related experience, or high school diploma and 13 to 19 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise Windows system administration or high-volume workstation deployment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical execution in controlled or secure environments.
- Strong understanding of asset management, configuration control, and Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) compliance frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise imaging, deployment automation, and troubleshooting tools.
- DOE Q or Department of War (DOW) TS clearance.
