About the role

  • Senior Systems Administrator providing technical support for global on-premises and cloud server infrastructure. Engaging in project work and strategic planning to enhance system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to end-user calls to clarify and assist the client with problem resolution and hardware/software needs.
  • Engender the confidence of clients that work will be completed at the required level of quality.
  • Purchase or assist with acquiring approved hardware and software.
  • Plan, design, and support Azure, M365 technologies (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams), global VMware Infrastructure, Client/Server business applications, and server and storage hardware solutions.
  • Follow established standard work and best practices; define new standard work as appropriate.
  • Identify and correct server-related problems caused by hardware/software failures.
  • Document configurations, instructions, and troubleshooting guides for Systems Administrator services and supported technologies.
  • Maintain and upgrade infrastructure systems regularly.
  • Investigate, provision, and deploy new technologies and solutions to support business and product growth and development.
  • Technical Lead on Infrastructure Services’ projects following S&C’s established project management methodology, processes/tools.
  • Support project efforts as assigned.
  • Record time spent on project tasks and completed project tasks in timesheets.
  • Test and document system behavior, performance, and security
  • Work with peers and clients to develop hardware/software standards and implementation strategies.
  • Work with IT Leadership to develop financial plans and budgets based on alignment with technological innovation and industry standard advancement.
  • Create detailed architecture designs for next-generation technologies and create guidelines for enhancements based on current production deployments.

Requirements

  • A 4-year degree in Information Systems, computer-related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience managing and supporting Microsoft Hybrid Identity (AD and Azure Entra ID) and Microsoft 365 (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams).
  • 5 years of experience managing and supporting Windows and Linux servers and on-prem and cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure and VMware
  • Experience in supporting a manufacturing environment
