About the role

  • System Administrator I ensuring optimal performance of workstations and peripherals at Cleveland Clinic. Collaborating on troubleshooting and support while managing documentation and client area responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that workstations and peripherals operate with optimal availability and reliability.
  • Clearly and consistently communicates all desktop technology operational directions established for the enterprise.
  • Consults on desktop applications and configurations to improve employee productivity.
  • Troubleshoots software, hardware, protocol and workstations.
  • Provides first and second level diagnostic Help Desk support for hardware, software, operating systems and peripherals.
  • Recommends, designs, builds and supports PC workstations.
  • Builds and maintains detailed workstation documentation including configuration of desktop software and impact of additions, deletions or upgrades to the workstation.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing support requirements of the client area including responsibilities for all hardware components.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Six months of information systems experience supporting small to mid-sized network (5-100)
  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within six months of position start date.
  • Certification(s) in Microsoft desktop operating systems (95/98/NT/2000) preferred.
