About the role

  • Sales Representative at Bridgestone managing customer relations, aiming to achieve sales targets and drive business growth. Focus on sales budget and customer service in the Southern Africa market.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve 100% of sales budget in both units and profitability.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance by channel and branch.
  • Continuously increase sales per customer family and product category.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with customers through proactive support.
  • Conduct marketing and promotional activities to drive sales.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Investigate and resolve product-related problems and customer queries.
  • Collect and analyze market data to understand customer behavior and competitor strategies.
  • Compile and report on dealer activity, pricing trends, market changes, and channel performance.
  • Provide technical product support, manage customer complaints, and assist with onboarding and admin procedures.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
  • A valid and appropriate light vehicle driver’s license (South African Code 08).
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
  • At least 3 years in a similar role and 2 years in junior management.
  • Strong financial acumen, including basic understanding of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
  • Must be self-driven, resilient under pressure, results-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, planning, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance.
  • Proficient in MS Office at an intermediate level.
  • SAP knowledge and a technical/mechanical background are advantageous.
  • Organizational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Basic problem-solving skills.
