About the role

  • Research Instrument Sales Specialist for BD promoting flow cytometry instruments. Focus on business development and sales growth in assigned territory with significant customer interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and crafting new business opportunities through promoting the flow cytometry instrument portfolio
  • Working strategically with Reagent Sales Specialist, Applications Specialists, Field Service, High Parameter Team, and Global Key Accounts
  • Actively seeking to retain/develop large key accounts, and convert competitive business in assigned territory
  • Developing Territory Business Plan to achieve sales goals
  • Travel within territory up to 60% of the time

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 -5 years of successful life sciences-related experience
  • Strong understanding of flow cytometry and research workflows
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and large account management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with peers in reagent sales, technical applications, science force, and global key accounts
  • A demonstrated successful sales track record, solid negotiation skills, exhibit effective selling, listening, and verbal/presentation skills
